Curaçao’s Orca U14 wins gold, U16 takes silver at ASATT Easter Waterpolo Invitational

COUVA (DA) — Swim Club Orca Curaçao delivered a standout showing at the Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago Easter Waterpolo Invitational, where its U14 mixed team won gold and its U16 boys team earned silver at the National Aquatic Centre in Couva, Trinidad.

The Curaçao delegation left on April 1 to compete in the international tournament with two teams and came away with medals in both categories after four days of competition.

Orca’s U14 team finished with the gold medal, while the club’s U16 boys side secured silver, giving Curaçao a double podium finish at the tournament.

The result capped what was described as a strong effort by Orca’s athletes and a successful trip for coaches Solange Klein and Javier Diaz, who guided the teams through the competition.

The water polo athletes were set to return to Curaçao on Tuesday, April 7.
