WILLEMSTAD (DA) — The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK), Adidas and Voetbalshop.nl are preparing to unveil Curaçao’s new home and away kits for the 2026 World Cup in mid-May, while the away shirt is set to be presented this month during an Adidas international event in Los Angeles.
The update sharpens the rollout timeline for a kit project that has drawn growing attention ahead of Curaçao’s first World Cup appearance. The national team will continue wearing its current uniforms during the March international window as work continues behind the scenes on the new designs.
FFK said the new kits are being developed to reflect the character, pride and international ambition of Curaçao football.
The latest announcement also builds on details previously reported by Deporte Awe. In January, Deporte Awe reported that Curaçao’s home kit was expected to feature a lucid blue base with impact yellow trim and a design inspired by the waves around the island, part of Adidas’ bespoke approach for the 2026 tournament (home kit report).
Deporte Awe also previously reported that the away kit was expected to carry an almost yellow base with royal blue accents and draw inspiration from the brightly painted buildings that define Curaçao’s urban landscape (away kit report).
Together, the earlier design reporting and FFK’s latest announcement point to a fully custom visual package for Curaçao’s World Cup debut rather than a standard teamwear template.
“Major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup are defined by unique stories,” Adidas Football general manager Sam Handy said. “The way things have unfolded with Curaçao is one such example, one that truly reflects the spirit of the game. We are proud to be working together with the Curaçao Football Federation at such an important moment in its development.”
Handy added that Adidas takes pride in working with federations that show ambition and conviction and said the company looks forward to supporting Curaçao as its journey continues.
FFK president Gilbert Martina said the uniforms represent more than sportswear.
“These uniforms are much more than clothing for sport,” Martina said. “They stand for the development of Curaçao football and our place on the global stage. The collaboration with Adidas and Voetbalshop.nl makes it possible for us to show our identity to the world.”
The partnership also has commercial importance. As Deporte Awe previously reported in its January kit coverage, FFK’s agreement with Adidas and Voetbalshop.nl allows the federation to receive 20% of merchandise sales, creating a new revenue stream tied directly to fan support ahead of the tournament.
After the March presentation, the away kit will be available for exclusive advance order through Voetbalshop.nl. Deliveries are scheduled for mid-May, when supporters who pre-order will receive priority.
The May rollout also fits within the broader release window previously reported by Deporte Awe, which projected the World Cup kits would arrive between March and June 2026.
FFK, Adidas and Voetbalshop.nl are expected to complete that rollout later in May with the full official presentation of Curaçao’s new national team uniforms.
