WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Curaçao will host the CAZOVA Men’s Final Four 2026 from July 18 to 20 at Sala Errol Rooi in SDK, bringing the regional men’s volleyball tournament to the island after the national team’s historic CAZOVA championship last year.
FEVOKO announced the tournament details Monday during a press conference in Curaçao.
Curaçao earned the chance to host after winning the CAZOVA 2025 tournament in the Bahamas, where it competed against the Bahamas, Suriname, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Guadeloupe. The title marked Curaçao’s first CAZOVA championship in 35 years and also secured the team a place in the NORCECA Continental tournament in September 2026.
The delegations are scheduled to arrive July 17. Curaçao, the Bahamas, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago will stay at Resort Sirena, while the control committee and referees will stay at Trupial Inn.
All matches will be played at Sala Errol Rooi. The tournament opens July 18 at 5 p.m. with Trinidad and Tobago against Barbados. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., followed by Curaçao against the Bahamas at 8 p.m.
Head coach Henrich Daal said Curaçao has prepared intensely for the tournament, with emphasis on discipline, dedication and teamwork. The team has worked on serving, blocking, defense, transition and communication as it gets ready to face the region’s top teams.
Daal said Curaçao respects every country in the Final Four, but the team is ready for the challenge.
The technical staff includes Daal as head coach, Remey Janga as first assistant coach, Rigo Thode as assistant coach, Andre Paulina as second assistant coach and Gilbert Paulina as assistant and conditioning coach.
Curaçao’s men’s squad includes six local players and six players active in the Netherlands: Raynold Marchena, Giandro Tokaay, Ernaldo Mota, Raygid Isenia, Ludrich Inocente, Ninomar Fairbairn, Jason Kleinmoedig, Derwin Colina, Timothy van Henneigen, Shuruendy Valeriano, Marlison Kleinmoedig and Sirviano Clemencia.
Isenia, the team captain, said it is an honor to represent Curaçao and wear the national jersey. He described the group as a family that has prepared physically and mentally for the tournament.
FEVOKO treasurer Bianca Sjak-Shie thanked the partners supporting the event, including the Curaçao Sports and Olympic Federation (FDOK), MCB, Bon Intenshon Private Foundation, 2 Bays Curaçao N.V., Vidanova Bank, Curoil and Octa, and recognized the volunteers working on the tournament organization.
FDOK president Christine Dania said the organization was proud to support FEVOKO’s request to host the event and said the support fits FDOK’s vision for sports development in Curaçao.
