SANTA FE (DA) — Curaçao shooter Philip Elhage finished 17th in the men’s 10-meter air pistol qualification Tuesday at the South American Games in Santa Fe, missing a place in the eight-man final.
Elhage recorded a score of 553-11x at the Centro Internacional de Tiro. The top eight competitors advanced.
Brazil’s Caio Almeida led qualification with 578-20x, followed by compatriot Felipe Wu at 574-12x. Peru’s Marko Carrillo placed third with 572-19x.
Rudolf Knijnenburg of Bolivia secured the final qualifying position in eighth with 564-17x.
Curaçao’s Sedney Martis was also listed for the event but did not start.
