WILLEMSTAD (DA) — A delegation of 37 athletes will represent Curaçao at the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games, scheduled for July 24 through Aug. 8 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The Curaçao Sports and Olympic Federation (FDOK) announced the delegation, which will compete across several sports during the regional multisport event.
The 2026 Games will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of Centro Caribe Sports, the regional organization responsible for staging the Central American and Caribbean Games.
Jayen Viscain and Jayden Loran will represent Curaçao in swimming under coach Reginaldo Brizuela. The swimming competition is scheduled for July 28 through Aug. 1.
Kyra van den Berg, Ziva King and Yaqil Alberto will compete in artistic swimming under coach Christella de Kock. Their events will take place from Aug. 5-8.
Noah Angela and Zinha Falbru will represent Curaçao in open-water swimming, with Seggio Bernardina serving as coach. The competition is scheduled for July 25-26.
Glenka Antonia will compete in athletics under coach Raul Varona. The athletics program will run from Aug. 3-7.
Phillip Elhage and Guru Santhiappan will represent Curaçao in shooting, with Brian Leysner serving as coach. The shooting competition is scheduled for Aug. 2-6.
Curaçao’s baseball team will compete from July 31 through Aug. 7.
The pitching staff consists of Nelmerson Angela, Martijn Schoonderwoer, Misja Harcksen, Finn Kragt, Pim Vijfvinkel, Franklin van Gurp, Arlison Rodriguez, Sedley Karel, Hershelon Juliana, Cerilio Soleana, Dennis Burgersdijk and Jordan Lucas.
The position players are Phildrick Llewellyn, Stephan Vidal, Dudley Leonora, Darren Seferina, Christian Diaz, Raysheandall Michel, Jeandro Tromp, Stijn van der Meer, Sherten Apostel, Riordan Windster, Tommy van den Sanden and Raywentley van Gurp.
The baseball staff includes Hainley Statia, Carlos Pineda, Jedrek Magdalena, Sorick Liberia, Ghionelo Jansen, Glenciene Gregoria, Gustavo de Jongh and Jhonnattan Ferreira.
Gerard Charles will serve as head of the delegation, while Phaidra Nahar will be the administrative assistant.
The medical team consists of massage therapists Laicam How and Richenel Eleonora, along with sports psychologist German Isaza Gomez. FDOK said the athletes will receive professional support throughout the Games.
