PANAMA (DA) — Curaçao swimmer Gabrielle Johannes Maduro finished 11th in the women’s 100-meter backstroke on Friday at the South American Youth Games in Panama.
Maduro posted a time of 1:12.25 in the event.
Although she was unable to improve her personal best, the Curaçao representative remained positive ahead of Saturday’s women’s 200-meter backstroke, considered her best event.
On Thursday, Maduro had finished 15th overall in the women’s 50-meter backstroke with a time of 32.63.
She is also scheduled to compete in the women’s 50-meter freestyle on Sunday, April 19.
