Gabrielle Johannes Maduro places 15th in 50m backstroke at South American Youth Games

PANAMA (DA) — Curaçao swimmer Gabrielle Johannes Maduro finished 15th overall in the women’s 50-meter backstroke on Thursday morning at the South American Youth Games in Panama.

Competing at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento Aquatic Complex, Maduro posted a time of 32.63 seconds.

She is scheduled to return to the pool Friday morning for the women’s 100-meter backstroke, followed by the women’s 200-meter backstroke on Saturday.

Maduro is also set to compete in the women’s 50-meter freestyle on Sunday, April 19.

Representing Curaçao at the regional event, Maduro remains motivated to keep giving her all in the competition.
