On stage, Chairman and Race Director Kees van Muiswinkel thanked all sponsors, partners, volunteers and the Curaçao authorities for their continued dedication and invaluable support.
He emphasized that the KLM Curaçao Marathon has evolved into much more than a race. It has become a platform for connection, where lifelong friendships are made, love stories begin, and even new generations — the so-called “Marathon babies” — come into the world. Even more special: many of the original sponsors, partners and Safety Team members are still proudly part of the event today.
This year, all participants received a signature blue Dry Fit running shirt, creating a spectacular “Blue Wave” as thousands of runners filled the streets of Curaçao from start to finish. Combined with the island’s warm hospitality, a truly international field of participants, top-level performances and a uniquely challenging course, the KLM Curaçao Marathon is unique in the world.
The success continues — and the next chapter is already set:
The 13th KLM Curaçao Marathon will be held on November 28 & 29, 2026.
This year, Lotte van der Pol won the Marathon, marking the first edition in which a female runner finished faster than the men.
