Churandy Martina once again showed that he’s the fastest runner of the Dutch Kingdom and also one of the fastest in the world. Martina the European Champion lowered his Dutch record substantially from 19.94 to 19.85 seconds during the 200 meter event. During the event Marina came in second behind Olympic Champion Usain Bolt that ran a time of 19.58 seconds.
With only two Diamond League Competitions remaining, Martina remains the leader of the competition with 12 points. Martina is followed by the Jamaican Nickel Ashmeade with 7 points. The next Samsung Diamond League meeting will be in two days in Birmingham, Great Britain.
