Albies delivers three hits as Braves rout Guardians

ATLANTA (DA) — Curaçao infielder Ozzie Albies went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored Sunday night as the Atlanta Braves pounded the Cleveland Guardians 13-1 at Truist Park.

Albies recorded his 14th game with a hit in 16 contests and notched the 77th three-hit game of his career. The performance moved him past Ronald Acuña Jr. for the ninth-most three-hit games by a Brave in the Atlanta era.

He also became the first Braves second baseman in franchise history to record three hits in a game against Cleveland.

Albies entered the day with one hit in four at-bats against the Guardians on April 11. Through his first 63 at-bats of the 2026 season, he is batting .302 with 19 hits, 10 runs scored, three home runs and seven RBIs.

Atlanta finished with 19 hits in the win. Chris Sale improved to 3-1, while Tanner Bibee fell to 0-2.
