WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) warned in a press release against the unauthorized use of its FFK and Blue Wave marks and said it will move firmly against violations.
The federation said it owns the FFK logo, the The Blue Wave logo, and the word marks FFK, BLUE WAVE and THE BLUE WAVE in Curaçao, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and other countries.
According to the release, those registered marks cover a broad range of products, including paper and cardboard goods, printed materials, flags, sports bags, printed T-shirts, caps, sports articles, party items and playing cards.
The statement added that the production, offering, import, export and sale of those items are not permitted without FFK’s explicit authorization.
The federation said it must take this step to protect the reputation of its marks and uphold its commitments to sponsors.
FFK also called on supporters and football fans to buy official products as a way to support the federation and Curaçao’s players on the road to the World Cup.
The release said the first official point of sale is the FFK Blue Wave Fan Shop at Sambil.
