CARACAS (DA) — The Asociación de Ligas de Béisbol de las Américas (ABAM) has reshaped its leadership and added Curaçao’s Jedrek Magdalena to the organization’s new executive board.
In a press bulletin dated Feb. 13, 2026, ABAM said it held its General Assembly during the Serie de las Américas, where it renewed its board for the next statutory period.
ABAM also said it has consolidated Venezuela’s participation in future editions of the Serie de las Américas.
According to ABAM, delegates from affiliated leagues met with the required quorum, approved the day’s agenda unanimously, and elected a new executive committee. ABAM said the mandates will run for two years under a system of mandatory rotation.
ABAM listed Ajax Delgado of Nicaragua as president and David Salayandia of Panama as first vice president.
The vice presidents named were Juan Reinaldo Pérez of Cuba, Nemesio Porras of Nicaragua, Pedro Salcedo of Colombia, Magdalena of Curaçao, and Roberto Braccini of Argentina.
ABAM listed Kodiró Miranda of Colombia as secretary general and Lauren Flores of Panama as treasurer. It also named Luis del Risco of Cuba and Wilmer Castellano of Argentina as board members.
ABAM said it also designated directors for specific areas to strengthen its operations and strategic management. Pérez was listed as technical director, Magdalena as commercial director, Ricardo Mendoza of Colombia as communications director, and Braccini as legal director.
