GUATEMALA CITY (DA) — El Salvador Under 17 beats Curaçao Under 17 5-1 on Feb. 11, 2026, leaving Curaçao last in its group and out of the U17 World Cup.
Curaçao pulled one back through Eljan Sparen, but El Salvador kept piling on and carried a 4-1 lead into halftime.
The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) summed up the result in a brief statement: ‘We’ll keep working hard to acheive better results at our next commitments.’
El Salvador struck early through Mayson Barillas in the second minute, then doubled the lead on a free kick from Jefferson Perla three minutes later.
El Salvador made it 3-0 in the 21st when Andrew Sorto finished a fast break.
Sparen answered in the 35th to cut the margin to 3-1, but Sorto restored the three-goal cushion in the 42nd with his second goal.
El Salvador added the final goal in the 71st when Jeremy Martínez hit a left-footed shot from outside the box into the top left corner.
Play stopped twice late for injuries, including a delay for Fernando Daal in stoppage time.
Curaçao picked up three yellow cards, with bookings shown to Jereem Pieternella, Daal and Duron van Bennekom.
