Curaçao and Scotland friendly set for May 30 as FIFA Series plans lead off spring schedule

WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Curaçao’s men’s national soccer team is set to open a busy stretch of international matches in March by taking part in the FIFA Series during FIFA’s March international window of March 23-31, 2026, where it will face Australia and China, Kees Jansma, press officer for the Curaçao national team, confirmed.

The March FIFA Series fixtures are expected to give Curaçao a valuable run of high-level competition, offering the coaching staff a chance to assess the squad against opponents from different regions while continuing preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Curaçao’s next confirmed friendly after the FIFA Series will come against Scotland on May 30, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. local time, Jansma said. The match will take place at Barclays Hampden in Glasgow. The update provides official confirmation after earlier reporting indicated the Scotland matchup was under advanced discussion but had not yet been confirmed publicly.

Scotland, a regular European contender, represents a significant test for Curaçao and is expected to serve as a benchmark for the team’s progress as it continues to seek challenging opponents in the build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Jansma also said Curaçao is still working to finalize one additional friendly that has not yet been announced. No further details were released regarding the opponent, location or date, but the extra match would further strengthen Curaçao’s schedule and provide another opportunity to build chemistry and refine tactics ahead of the team’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
