EINDHOVEN (DA) — Shuryjano Cornecion hopes to represent the Netherlands at senior level after playing youth international football for both Curaçao and the Dutch, according to Omroep Brabant.
The 18-year-old PSV midfielder said he represented Curaçao’s under-20 team this year before appearing for the Netherlands under-18 side shortly after returning to the country. His long-term ambition is to earn an opportunity with Oranje.
“Ultimately, I hope for a chance with the Netherlands. That is what I am aiming for,” Cornecion said.
At club level, he wants to establish himself as a regular in PSV’s first team. He sees the experienced players around him as an opportunity to learn and improve.
Regular playing time also matters to Cornecion, who welcomes appearances for Jong PSV. He said he wants to spend as much time on the field as possible while pursuing his place in the senior squad.
