ZWOLLE (DA) — Curaçao international Sherel Floranus was unable to take part in PEC Zwolle’s 11 a.m. training session Wednesday, Oct. 21, following the injury he sustained in Sunday’s derby victory over Go Ahead Eagles.
The severity of the defender’s injury remains unknown, and his availability for Saturday’s Eredivisie match at FC Utrecht has not been confirmed.
As previously reported by Deporte Awe, Damian van der Haar replaced Floranus in the 24th minute of the IJsselderby, with PEC trailing 1-0. Zwolle overturned that halftime deficit to beat its rival 4-1.
PEC has closed training sessions scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, and Friday, Oct. 23.
The team visits Utrecht at Stadion Galgenwaard on Saturday, Oct. 24, with kickoff scheduled for 4:30 p.m. local time.
