ANKARA (DA) — Curaçao international Leandro Bacuna scored his first goal of the season Sunday, coming off the bench to give Iğdır FK a 1-0 victory over Boluspor in Turkey’s second division at Ankara Aktepe Stadium.
Bacuna replaced Serdar Gürler in the second half and broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. He finished left-footed from a rebound after Boluspor goalkeeper Angelo Tafas saved Doğan Erdoğan’s shot from the right side of the penalty area.
Neither team had scored before halftime, and Bacuna’s goal proved enough to settle the match. The victory lifted Iğdır to 23 points after 11 league games, while Boluspor remained winless with 1 point.
Iğdır next visits Bandırmaspor on Saturday, Oct. 24, before traveling to Eskişehirspor for a Turkish Cup match Oct. 29.
