WILLEMSTAD (DA) — The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) has reactivated its Women’s Football Committee to help secure funding, develop partnerships and increase participation among girls and women.
Hassnah Elhage, Jadira Laaf and Fabi Constansia will serve on the committee, which is tasked with turning the federation’s women’s football strategy into projects and activities with measurable progress.
Finding financial support will be a central responsibility. The committee will explore funding opportunities through FIFA, CONCACAF, national partners and other organizations, while developing projects that align with FFK’s strategic goals and could qualify for support.
Sponsorships and other commercial partnerships will also form part of that work as the federation seeks to build a sustainable foundation for women’s football.
FFK said the committee’s development agenda includes training, talent development and exchanges of knowledge. Potential international cooperation will extend beyond the Netherlands to the Caribbean, the wider region and the United States.
Those efforts will accompany work to raise the visibility of women’s football in Curaçao and encourage more girls and women to take part.
The federation also plans to strengthen cooperation with government agencies, businesses, football organizations and other partners. The committee will identify opportunities within those relationships and monitor the progress and results of its initiatives.
FFK described the development of women’s football as an investment in both the sporting and social future of football in Curaçao.
