KUALA TERENGGANU (DA) — Curaçao forward Gervane Kastaneer scored twice as Terengganu FC began its 2026-27 Malaysia Super League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Melaka FC at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.
Kastaneer opened the scoring in the 12th minute after receiving a pass from Victor Ruiz.
Ruiz doubled Terengganu’s advantage in the 55th minute, scoring from outside the penalty area after capitalizing on a defensive mistake.
Kastaneer completed his brace in the 80th minute. Substitute Jordan Mintah played him through on goal, and the Curaçao international beat the goalkeeper before finishing.
The victory gave Terengganu all three points from its season opener.
