WILLEMSTAD (DA) — The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) has denied reports of an alleged fight during a match at Dr. Antoine Maduro Stadium.
The federation said it took note of messages circulated by news outlets and on social media. Based on the information available to the FFK, no fight or other serious incident occurred during the games at the stadium.
The FFK warned that distributing unverified claims can cause unnecessary concern and damage the image of Curaçao football and the clubs involved.
The federation urged the public and media to confirm information with the FFK before sharing it.
The FFK also reaffirmed its commitment to accurate and transparent communication through its official channels and to promoting a safe, sportsmanlike and respectful football environment.
