Ozzie Albies powers Braves past Cardinals with homer, RBI double

ATLANTA (DA) — Curaçao’s Ozzie Albies drove in 2 runs, including a solo home run, as the Atlanta Braves beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1 on Wednesday night at Truist Park.

Albies homered in the third inning off Michael McGreevy, sending a full-count pitch out with two outs for his 13th home run of the season. The drive came off the bat at 97.7 mph and traveled 380 feet.

Albies also doubled in the first inning and drove in Drake Baldwin from first base, helping Atlanta answer after St. Louis scored in the top of the inning.
