NEW YORK (DA) — Ozzie Albies remains in position to advance in All-Star voting, leading National League second basemen in Major League Baseball’s latest balloting update for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.
Albies, the Atlanta Braves second baseman from Curaçao, has received 972,537 votes, MLB announced Monday. He leads Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott, who has 801,006 votes, and Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang, who has 739,111.
Albies is bidding for his fourth career All-Star selection and his first fan-elected starting assignment.
A fan-elected start would make Albies Atlanta’s first second baseman to win a fan election since Dan Uggla in 2012.
Albies is batting .284 with 12 home runs, 41 RBIs, 13 doubles, 51 runs, 1 stolen base and a .786 OPS, according to MLB’s balloting update.
Phase 1 voting continues until noon ET Thursday. The top two vote-getters at each position and the top six outfielders in each league will advance to Phase 2, with finalists set to be announced at 6 p.m. ET Thursday on MLB Network.
Phase 2 voting begins at noon ET Monday, June 29, and ends at noon ET Thursday, July 2. Vote totals reset for the second phase.
The 2026 All-Star starters and full rosters will be announced July 4 on FOX. The 96th All-Star Game is scheduled for July 14 in Philadelphia.
