WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Dick Advocaat has selected AZ forward Jerolldino Bergraaf for Curaçao for the first time, bringing him into the squad for the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals against Panama as a replacement for the injured Jordi Paulina.
The call-up gives Bergraaf an opportunity to make his senior international debut in the two-leg tie on Nov. 12 and 15. The winner advances to the Nations League Finals and qualifies for the Gold Cup.
Bergraaf previously represented the Netherlands at youth level, making 5 appearances for its under-19 team.
He joined AZ on a season-long loan from Excelsior in July, initially to play for Jong AZ. The agreement includes an option for the Alkmaar club to make the transfer permanent.
