NEW YORK (DA) — Major League Soccer selected Cherrion Valerius for the bench of its Team of the Matchday for Matchday 34 following Minnesota United’s 3-1 win over Los Angeles FC on Sunday.
The defender scored his first MLS goal in the 34th minute, giving Minnesota a 2-0 lead.
Valerius also recorded 9 defensive actions, recovered 4 balls and won 5 duels. He completed 38 of 47 passes.
Valerius previously received a Curaçao senior call-up for CONCACAF Nations League B fixtures in September 2024 while playing for NAC Breda. He withdrew from that squad because of injury before the matches.
