ZWOLLE (DA) — Sherel Floranus has been selected for Curaçao’s CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals against Panama while remaining unavailable for PEC Zwolle, with no clear timetable for his return.
The defender is still recovering and cannot yet play for his club, according to reports in the Netherlands following interim coach Dennis van der Ree’s media briefing ahead of PEC’s match against ADO Den Haag. His recovery timeline remains uncertain.
Curaçao coach Dick Advocaat nevertheless included Floranus in the 23-player squad announced Oct. 30 by the Curaçao Football Federation (FFK). The call-up comes ahead of the November international window, although his availability to play remains unconfirmed.
Curaçao will face Panama over two legs for a place in the Nations League Final Four and a Gold Cup berth.
