ZURICH (DA) — Curaçao moved up two spots to No. 80 in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking, reaching 1,304.98 points.
The Blue Wave sits behind No. 79 Montenegro, which has 1,315.49 points, and ahead of No. 81 Oman at 1,302.77.
Curaçao has reached No. 80 several times before, finishing 2018, 2019 and 2021 in that position. Its all-time high is No. 68, reached in July 2017.
Panama, Curaçao’s next opponent in the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals, is No. 46 with 1,476.97 points after dropping two places in the October ranking. The teams will meet in a two-leg quarterfinal in November.
Elsewhere in CONCACAF, Haiti climbed four places to No. 84. The Dominican Republic jumped nine positions to No. 135, tying Rwanda for the biggest rise in the latest ranking. Guyana moved up eight spots to No. 142 and Barbados gained five places to No. 174.
CONCACAF continues to have four teams among the world’s top 50.
Spain remained No. 1, followed by Argentina and France. Portugal was the only team in the top 10 to improve its position, climbing two places to No. 5 and moving ahead of Brazil and Morocco.
FIFA said 338 men’s international matches were played during the ranking period, including UEFA and CONCACAF Nations League games and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking will be published Nov. 18.
