ST. PAUL (DA) — Cherrion Valerius has joined Minnesota United in training after arriving in the United States to begin the next stage of his move from NAC Breda.
The 21-year-old right back was on the field with his new teammates Wednesday, days after receiving the visa needed to travel to the U.S.
Valerius flew to the United States on Sunday and was scheduled to undergo his medical examination Monday before linking up with Minnesota United.
The defender is joining the MLS club on loan from NAC Breda. According to reports, the agreement contains a purchase clause tied to Valerius reaching a specified number of appearances in Major League Soccer.
Minnesota United has not yet indicated when Valerius will be available to make his debut.
