WILLEMSTAD (DA) — The Curaçao national football team will begin preparations Sept. 21 for a four-match CONCACAF Nations League stretch that runs through Oct. 4.
The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) released the team’s schedule ahead of matches against Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Trinidad and Tobago.
The program opens Sept. 21 with a 3:30 p.m. press conference featuring head coach Dick Advocaat and a player at the Corendon Hotel. The Blue Wave will hold its first training session later that day at 7 p.m. at the field of Jong Holland football club.
The national team will train again at the same location Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. before traveling to Costa Rica.
The Blue Wave will hold its final session before facing Costa Rica at Ricardo Saprissa Stadium on Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. The Nations League match is scheduled for the following day.
After returning to Curaçao, the national team will train at the field of Jong Holland football club Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. Another session is scheduled for Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at Stadion Ergilio Hato before the Blue Wave hosts Nicaragua on Sept. 27.
The Sept. 28 training session will be closed, with the time still to be determined.
The Curaçao national team will return to Stadion Ergilio Hato for training Sept. 29 and Sept. 30, with both sessions scheduled for 6 p.m. The Blue Wave hosts Trinidad and Tobago on Oct. 1.
The Oct. 2 training session will be closed, with the time still to be determined.
The national team will then travel to Trinidad and Tobago and train at Hasely Crawford Stadium on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m.
The four-match Nations League stretch concludes Oct. 4 when the Curaçao national team faces Trinidad and Tobago away.
