Mairo Martinus named California League All-Star after standout season

NEW YORK (DA) — Curaçao’s Mairo Martinus has been named to the 2026 California League All-Star team after a productive season with Ontario in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

Minor League Baseball announced its Single-A league awards and All-Star teams Tuesday, selecting Martinus as the California League’s utility player.

Martinus batted .317 with a .359 on-base percentage and .537 slugging percentage. He recorded a .896 OPS with 15 home runs and 64 RBIs.

The selection adds another honor to Martinus’ 2026 season. He also earned California League Player of the Week honors earlier in the year.

Martinus was one of nine position players selected to the California League All-Star team, joining a group that included league Most Valuable Player Easton Shelton and Top MLB Prospect Roldy Brito.
