Curaçao U-14 national soccer team names squad for CFU Challenge Series

WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Curaçao’s U-14 national team is set to travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to compete in the 2026 Caribbean Football Union Under-14 Challenge Series.

The delegation is scheduled to depart Friday night through Panama ahead of the tournament, which runs from Aug. 16-23. The competition is designed to provide young Caribbean players with international experience while supporting talent development and stronger national youth programs across the region.

Curaçao will compete in Group C alongside Jamaica, Aruba and St. Kitts and Nevis. A total of 28 countries have been divided into seven groups of four.

The team will open against Aruba at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Cap Cana Sports Center. Curaçao will face St. Kitts and Nevis at 2 p.m. Tuesday before closing the preliminary round against Jamaica at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Sendley Bito will guide Curaçao at the tournament, assisted by goalkeeping coach Pablo Alomá Mark. The staff also includes equipment manager Olivier Windster, massage therapist Clinton Leocadia, doctor Ramfis Fillet and team manager Liviéna Rijnschot.

Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) technical director Gersley Gijsbertha and FIFA Talent representative Thomas Slos will accompany the team. FFK board member Rudsel Schmidt will serve as head of delegation.
