WILLEMSTAD (DA) — The Curaçao Football Federation has begun evaluating the technical and medical structures of its national teams after the contracts of the national coach Dick Advocaat and other staff members expired July 31.
The process will determine who assumes the different positions within the national teams’ technical and medical staffs. FFK said each role will be assessed against its sporting ambitions and plans for the continued development of football in Curaçao.
The review will extend beyond preparations for upcoming competitions. Player and coach development, the long-term technical structure and sustainable growth will also form part of the evaluation, with quality, continuity and professionalism among the federation’s central considerations.
“The contracts of the national coach and the technical and medical staff ended in accordance with the agreed terms,” interim president Fabi Constansia said. “As a board, we respect those agreements and accept our responsibility to carefully evaluate which technical direction best aligns with the ambitions and development of football in Curaçao.
“We will conduct this process professionally and transparently, with the interests of our national teams and the future of football in Curaçao as our main priorities.”
FFK thanked the technical and medical personnel for their dedication, commitment and professionalism during their contracts. The federation said it will inform the football community once the evaluation and decision-making process has been completed.
