Reports: PSV and RC Lens reach verbal agreement for Curaçao international Armando Obispo transfer

EINDHOVEN (DA) — PSV Eindhoven and RC Lens have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of Curaçao international Armando Obispo, according to reports.

The 27-year-old defender, who represented Curaçao at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is reportedly expected to sign a multiyear contract with Lens after completing a medical examination in France.

The French club is set to pay approximately €5.5 million plus bonuses for Obispo. Lens had previously offered more than €4 million, but PSV reportedly rejected the proposal and maintained its asking price.

According to sources, Lens later returned with an improved offer following further discussions involving Obispo’s agent, Ali Dursun.

Neither PSV nor Lens has officially announced the agreement, while Obispo has not publicly commented on the reported transfer.

Obispo was expected to join PSV’s preseason training camp if he remained in Eindhoven. He now appears poised to continue his career in France, where Lens will also compete in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League next season.

The PSV academy product has represented Curaçao at the senior international level and was part of the national team’s historic first FIFA World Cup campaign this summer.
