ONTARIO (DA) — Mairoshendrick Martinus continued his standout run with the Ontario Tower Buzzers, earning the club’s SoFi Player of the Month honor for June after previously being named California League Player of the Week.
Martinus led Ontario in June with 34 hits, 27 runs, 64 total bases and 4 triples. He also tied for the team lead with 10 doubles.
The 21-year-old from Willemstad, Curaçao, finished the month batting .343 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs, 5 stolen bases and a 1.033 OPS.
The monthly recognition followed a strong week in which Martinus hit .538 during Ontario’s series win over Visalia, appearing in all 6 games, recording back-to-back 4-hit games and scoring 8 runs.
Martinus has been one of Ontario’s most productive players during the 2026 season, adding another Curaçao name to watch in Minor League Baseball.
