Jakey Josepha, Jurdick Profar earn minor league promotions

WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Curaçao prospects Jakey Josepha and Jurdick Profar have each moved up in the minor leagues after strong starts to the 2026 season.

Josepha, a 22-year-old outfielder from Willemstad, was assigned to the Hillsboro Hops from the Visalia Rawhide on June 16. Hillsboro is a High-A affiliate.

Josepha has played in 2026 with a .249 average, .380 on-base percentage and .741 OPS. He has 42 hits, 32 runs, 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and 17 stolen bases in 169 at-bats.

Profar, a 19-year-old shortstop from Willemstad, was assigned to the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers from the ACL White Sox on June 13. Kannapolis is a Single-A affiliate.

Profar has opened his 2026 minor league season with a .294 average, .455 on-base percentage and 1.014 OPS in 34 at-bats. He has 10 hits, 7 runs, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs.

For his minor league career, Profar has 79 hits, 61 runs, 9 home runs, 41 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 336 at-bats.
