NEW YORK (DA) — Major League Baseball’s Rivalry Weekend returns this weekend with Boston against Atlanta at Truist Park, giving the series a Curaçao twist through Ceddanne Rafaela and Ozzie Albies.
The matchup is part of the second annual Rivalry Weekend presented by Booking.com, which debuted in 2025 and features 11 prime Interleague rivalry series and four other regional matchups across MLB.
For Curaçao baseball fans, the Red Sox-Braves series carries a direct island connection. Rafaela, one of Boston’s most dynamic players, and Albies, a longtime Atlanta standout, put two Curaçao players on opposite sides of one of the weekend’s highlighted Interleague matchups.
MLB listed Atlanta-Boston at Truist Park among its 11 prime Interleague rivalry series, along with matchups such as Mets-Yankees, Angels-Dodgers, White Sox-Cubs, Guardians-Reds, Rays-Marlins and Mariners-Padres.
Booking.com is providing fans with free access to MLB.TV throughout Rivalry Weekend. MLB also launched a new multimedia campaign for the weekend, “This One’s Personal,” which will run across broadcast, cable, streaming, digital and social media platforms.
Rivalry Weekend begins Friday with Pittsburgh hosting Philadelphia at PNC Park. The weekend also includes national broadcasts of the Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees, the Vedder Cup between the Mariners and Padres, the Freeway Series between the Angels and Dodgers, Rays-Marlins, Athletics-Giants and other rivalry matchups.
The Red Sox-Braves series gives Curaçao supporters a local storyline inside MLB’s leaguewide rivalry showcase, with Rafaela and Albies meeting from opposite dugouts in Atlanta.
