FIFA to release new World Cup ticket inventory on April 22 as Curaçao fans target Blue Wave matches

ZURICH/WILLEMSTAD (DA) — FIFA will release a new batch of tickets for all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup at 11 a.m. Curaçao time on Wednesday, as the final official sales phase continues on a first-come, first-served basis through the final.

FIFA said tickets will be available in categories 1 through 3 and in front-row seat categories, depending on the match. Fans will be able to choose their seats on the stadium map or use the “Book the best seat” option. More tickets will also continue to be released on an ongoing basis until the July 19 final, subject to availability.

The governing body said more than 5 million tickets have already been sold for the expanded 48-team tournament, which will be played over 39 days in Canada, Mexico and the United States. FIFA also said the cumulative attendance record of 3.5 million set at the 1994 World Cup is on track to be broken.

For Curaçao supporters, the ticket update comes as the Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) reminded fans that the Blue Wave will open its World Cup campaign in Houston against Germany before facing Ecuador in Kansas City and Ivory Coast in Philadelphia.

FFK told supporters that ticket orders already submitted cannot be returned and added that purchased tickets will be issued as mobile tickets through the FIFA ticketing app, with availability expected closer to the event and not before May.

The federation also said it will launch an official WhatsApp channel for World Cup updates, including practical matchday information, last-minute changes and travel tips for supporters following the team in the United States.

FFK urged fans to carefully review stadium rules, including restrictions on flags, instruments, bags, backpacks and other supporter materials, and said some items may require prior approval through a fan material request process.

Both FIFA and FFK stressed that a match ticket does not guarantee entry into a host country. FIFA advised supporters to check official entry requirements for Canada, Mexico and the United States and to submit any necessary visa applications as early as possible.

FFK said Curaçao is part of the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, meaning many supporters may be able to travel with an ESTA, but added that entry requirements can vary and should be confirmed through official U.S. sources before departure.
