MELBOURNE (DA) — Curaçao held its first training session in Melbourne on Sunday as preparations continued for Tuesday’s FIFA Series 2026 match against Australia.
The workout took place at Heidelberg FC, a club based 11 kilometers north of Melbourne. Coach Fred Rutten led what was described as a strong but careful session as Curaçao continued to build toward its second match of the tournament.
After training, the squad returned to the W Melbourne hotel for lunch and media interviews. Some players also underwent massage treatment afterward for recovery.
Curaçao is scheduled to hold a press session Monday in Melbourne before training at AAMI Park, the stadium that will host the match. The media availability is set for 3:45 p.m. local time, followed by training at 4 p.m., with the first 15 minutes open to the press before the session is closed.
The match between Curaçao and Australia is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Melbourne, which is 5:10 a.m. Tuesday in Curaçao.
