LEESBURG (DA) — Curaçao goalkeeper Eloy Room delivered a clean sheet and earned man-of-the-match honors as Miami FC played Loudoun United FC to a 0-0 draw in USL Championship action on Saturday.
Room played the full 90 minutes and finished with three saves, including one diving stop, while allowing no goals. He also recorded 11 recoveries and completed 18 of 25 passes.
The veteran goalkeeper anchored Miami’s point on the road as Loudoun failed to break through at Segra Field.
Up front, fellow Curaçao international Jürgen Locadia also went the distance but could not convert his chances. Locadia put three shots on target, created two chances and completed 17 of 21 passes.
He was heavily involved in Miami’s attack, logging 39 touches and seven touches in the opposition box, but ended the match without a goal. He was also charged with missing two big chances.
The scoreless result left Room as Miami’s standout performer in a hard-fought match in which Locadia repeatedly threatened but could not find the finish.
