MADRID (DA) — Brian “HooiBooi” Hooi will return to the cage on March 7 when he faces Miguel Ángel Lozano “Colombo” in a lightweight bout at WOW 27 at Madrid Arena.
The matchup pits HooiBooi, listed in the red corner, against Colombo in the blue corner as WOW heads back to Spain’s capital for another major MMA card.
The bout graphic lists HooiBooi at 31 years old, 70 kilograms and 1.80 meters with a 21-12-0 record. Colombo is listed at 29, 70.3 kilograms and 1.83 meters with an 8-1-0 mark.
HooiBooi enters the fight representing Curaçao in one of the featured professional matchups on the card, while Colombo will compete with a home-country backdrop, with Spain’s flag shown beside his name.
WOW promoted the March 7 event as its return to Madrid, with Madrid Arena again set to host what the promotion called the top mixed martial arts show in Spain.
With the lightweight matchup now set, HooiBooi will look to handle the challenge in Madrid against a younger opponent who brings a shorter but stronger record on paper.
