WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Curaçao’s U-20 national team crushed St. Vincent & the Grenadines 6-0 at Stadion Rignaal “Jean” Francisca to stay perfect and move to the top of Group D.
Curaçao put the match in command before halftime, scoring three times before the break and adding three more after it.
Damiënthly Bernardina opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 36th minute. Dayvi Busby doubled the lead in the 42nd, and Shuryiano Cornecion added another in first-half stoppage time to make it 3-0.
Cornecion struck again in the 57th minute, Bernardina scored his second in the 63rd, and then completed his hat trick in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
After two matches, Curaçao sits first in Group D with six points, nine goals scored, two allowed and a plus-seven goal difference.
Curaçao’s next match is scheduled for March 2 at 4 p.m. against Anguilla at Stadion Rignaal “Jean” Francisca in Willemstad.
