WILLEMSTAD (DA) — Curaçao Professional Baseball (CPB) will open its condensed 2026 season on Jan. 31 at Tio Daou Ballpark, rolling out four consecutive nights of games in a high-intensity format that places immediate importance on every matchup.
The defending champion Curaçao Goats headline the three-team field, joined by the Curaçao Suns and Willemstad Cannons. The schedule opens Jan. 31 with the Goats facing the Suns at 8 p.m. The Suns return on Feb. 1 to play the Cannons, also at 8 p.m. The Goats and Cannons meet Feb. 2, before the season concludes with the CPB Finals on Feb. 3. All games are scheduled for 8 p.m. and will be played at Tio Daou Ballpark.

Alongside the schedule, CPB announced a final round of free-agent signings across all three clubs, adding depth ahead of the short season. The Goats added Clay Winklaar, Luis Atiles, Peson Revierre and Arshenau Martina. The Suns signed Mairo Martinus, Egory Manuel and Penko Tomsjansen. The Cannons added Ruderly Manuel, Luis Cabrera, Jurickson Profar, Judrick Profar, Keymer Solano and Hershelon Juliana.
With rosters finalized and a compact calendar in place, the margin for error will be slim, particularly with international stakes attached. The CPB champion will earn the right to represent Curaçao at the Serie de las Américas, scheduled to take place in Venezuela next month.
According to the official tournament calendar, Curaçao is slated to play group-stage games from Feb. 5 through Feb. 11, with games scheduled in both Caracas and La Guaira. Curaçao is listed to play on Thursday, Feb. 5; Friday, Feb. 6; Saturday, Feb. 7; Sunday, Feb. 8; Monday, Feb. 9; Tuesday, Feb. 10; and Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Game times for Curaçao vary by date, with scheduled first pitches at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Group-stage games involving Curaçao are set for Estadio Monumental in Caracas and Fórum de La Guaira. The tournament semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12, followed by the third-place game and championship final on Friday, Feb. 13.
With a four-day domestic season feeding directly into regional competition, CPB 2026 is positioned as a brief but consequential stretch of baseball for players, clubs and the league alike.
