Curaçao earns direct entry into 2026 Little League World Series

WILLIAMSPORT (DA) — Curaçao has earned direct entry into the 2026 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, marking another milestone for one of the tournament’s most consistent international programs.

The Caribbean island has been a regular presence on the sport’s biggest youth stage for decades, building a pipeline that stretches from local leagues to the world tournament each August. Curaçao has made 15 Little League World Series appearances since 1980, reached the championship game four times, and captured the title in 2004.

The program’s success has long been tied to strong participation at the grassroots level, where youth baseball remains a major part of the island’s sports culture. Officials involved in the program say continued growth will also help expand access for children across the community.

With a direct ticket secured for 2026, Curaçao now turns its focus toward preparation for another run in Williamsport, where the island has repeatedly proven it can compete with — and beat — the best teams in the Little League world.
