VENEZUELA — Venezuela will host the second edition of the Series of the Americas in February 2026, with Curaçao confirmed among eight participating leagues in a tournament that continues to expand its regional footprint.
The Asociación de Ligas de Beisbol de las Américas (ABAM) announced that the Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional (LVBP) and Brazil’s national league have accepted invitations to compete as guests, increasing the field to eight countries.
Alongside Curaçao, the tournament will feature leagues representing Colombia, Nicaragua, Panama, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil and host nation Venezuela.
ABAM also confirmed a joint agreement with the LVBP for Venezuela to serve as host of the 2026 event. The tournament is scheduled to run from Feb. 2–10, 2026, with games to be played at Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar and Estadio Jorge Luis García Carneiro in Macuto, in the coastal state of La Guaira.
From a Curaçao perspective, the expanded field and the hosting agreement mark another step in the island’s growing presence within organized regional baseball. Curaçao’s participation places it on the same competitive stage as several of the Americas’ most established professional leagues, continuing a trend of increased international exposure for the island’s players and baseball infrastructure.
The Series of the Americas brings together professional leagues from across the continent in a short, high-level tournament format. The 2026 edition will be the second in the event’s history.
