MIAMI — The Miami Football Club has signed forward Jürgen Locadia ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval.
Recent club play
Locadia’s most recent stint before returning to the United States was with FC Intercity in Spain in 2025. In 24 appearances, he had 10 goals and one assist.
Before that, he played for Persepolis FC in the Persian Gulf League, where the club was the 2022-2023 Iranian champion. He also played a couple of seasons in Germany’s Bundesliga.
PSV years and European competitions
Locadia played for PSV Eindhoven from 2010 to 2018, moving from the under-19 team to the first team.
He played in the Eredivisie, the Europa League and the Champions League during his time at PSV. The club won the Dutch Super Cup and was Dutch champion twice, and it won the Dutch Cup once.
Across his youth and professional time with PSV, Locadia had 94 goals and 38 assists.
Experience in England and the U.S.
Locadia also played in the English Premier League for a few seasons with Brighton & Hove Albion.
He later played two seasons in Major League Soccer with FC Cincinnati.

International background
Born in the Netherlands and of Curaçaoan descent, Locadia represented the Netherlands at the under-17 through under-21 levels before playing for Curaçao’s senior team.
He has 12 appearances for Curaçao, most recently in World Cup qualification matches, where he had two assists that helped the Blue Wave qualify.
Locadia has 132 goals and 53 assists in his career.
